The human gut is more complex than previously thought and has a huge impact on whole-body health. A healthy gut contributes to a strong immune system, ideal cardiovascular function, optimal cognitive activity, improved mood, steady sleep, and effective digestion, and it may help to prevent some cancers and autoimmune diseases. Essentially, our gut is responsible for putting our body into working order. As it breaks down the foods we consume, our gut absorbs nutrients that support our body's functions-from energy production to hormone balance, skin health to mental health, and even toxin and waste elimination.
As a graduate of both the Health Coaching Training Program, as well as the Gut Health program through the Institution of Integrative Nutrition, I have expertise in understanding the fundamentals of digestive and gut health factors that can influence conditions of gut imbalance, as well as dietary and lifestyle choices that may promote optimal health. Together, we can explore bio-individuality, detoxification, bowel health, food sensitivities, herbal remedies, microbiome balance, and natural supplements to set you on your way to discovering your optimal health.
This badge designates that its holder has graduated from Integrative Nutrition's Health Coach Training Program. They have demonstrated an ability to understand and utilize a wide range of dietary and nutrition theories, as well as develop business and coaching skills to practice in a variety of settings. They have been trained to educate and guide clients to make behavioral changes resulting in improved nutrition, dietary habits, and physical ability and overall greater health and wellness.
This badge designates that its holder has graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s (IIN) Gut Health Course. IIN Health Coaches who graduate from the course have demonstrated an understanding of what constitutes a healthy and balanced gut microbiome, the ways that this system may become unhealthy and imbalanced, how they can support their clients’ efforts to foster a healthy gut through various nutrition and lifestyle modifications, and their scope of practice as a health coach.
To earn this badge, graduates must demonstrate an understanding of hormonal imbalances and nutrition and lifestyle modifications that can promote health and improved balance. Graduates understand they cannot diagnose, evaluate, or treat any health conditions. Badge holders can properly work alongside medical professionals to provide complimentary wellness services from within their scope of practice. Graduates are able to better inform and empower their clients on how to achieve optimal health.
